Both Tracy and Soren believed strongly in the importance of keeping hydrated and drank plenty of water. Additionally, both Soren and Tracy drank Emergen-C, a powdered Vitamin C substance you can add to your water, every day to help stay healthy and prevent their risk of catching viruses.
One month into student teaching, Soren and Tracy found that their health was pretty stable, but they were both feeling incredibly stressed. Tracy had read about the effects of stress on health and talked to Soren about potential strategies they could use to relieve their stress. Soren brought up how soothing it felt to take a bath. Tracy agreed and the two decided to add baths to their self-care regimens.
While Soren was bathing in just water, Tracy thought that since Emergen-C helped keep her healthy when she drank it, maybe it would have health benefits if she bathed in it as well. She began buying the powder in bulk and adding it to her baths. Soren and Tracy continued to keep in touch about their health and general well-being,

a teacher. Since the only big difference in their routines was the kind of liquid they were bathing in, Tracy wondered iffigured the decrease in her energy must be due to adding Emergen-C in her bath. She took a closer look at the ingredients and saw that while it contained many different vitamins, the main ingredient was sugar. She reflected that while ingesting this beverage may help her, bathing in a sugary substance was certainly not the best for health. It also left her feeling very sticky afterwards and she had noticed a consistent halo of flies hovering near her.
Tracy discussed this with Soren, switched to taking just baths and felt full of energy and vigor for the rest of her first year as a teacher!

Two dinosaurs, Tracy Cera and Soren Stego, had recently become teachers and were headed into their first year of teaching. Both we very excited for their first year as teachers but both had also heard all the stories about just how sick teachers can get during their first year of teaching being exposed to so many germs from so many children. Extension of this Lesson in the Classroom
This lesson would be added to over following days. A large class anchor chart multiplication table would be created and added to as each student parte3nership would get a chance to present the numbers for their column of the table. As each student partnership presented, and added their numbers to the class table, students would add these numbers to their personal multiplication charts and continue decorating them. Students would use their personal multiplication charts to go on scavenger hunts, finding groups of items that could be represented by multiplication problems within the classroom and within the school.
